Our Cars
New to Vets With Vets
I waited 62 years for my first corvette, she’s a 1973 Stingray. Original paint, interior and numbers matching but with new cam, aluminum heads, new headers, fuel injection and electronic ignition. Engine work was done by Lane Cullver and she now puts out over 375hp to the wheels. Man I love this car. Can’t wait to attend my first member meeting.

Art work
My son made this with pictures of my car. Turned out great!

National Corvette Museum & Motorsports Park
Carol and I went to the NCM and the Motorsport Park this past weekend. I did the "Drive your own car" activity on the track. Great experience even in the light rain, still managed some thrilling speeds. Carol just watched and took pictures. Afterwards we visited the NCM museum and ate lunch at the Stingray Grill. All-in-all a wonderful outing that I highly recommend; check it out if you get a chance. Here's a few pictures...

There's the museum...
Just a little damp, still a light rain Monday morning after the storms...
Went a bit over 100 on the straight-a-way in the rain...
Carol and I went to Talladega Superspeedway this Memorial Day weekend and participated in the Hendrick Driven for Veterans event. This year they started with a pre-registration and welcome event on Friday afternoon. They had live entertainment, opening remarks, a car show and food trucks. Made driving in and lining up on Saturday a breeze. We had fun and enjoyed the track. kind of wet on the way home but we made it. 😎🏁
