Following another high-profile leak in which Corvette’s 70th Anniversary package was shown on the 2023 Corvette Visualizer last week and captured by CorvetteBlogger contributor Jeremy Welborn and his friend Jay Shellabarger, Chevrolet today officially released the details for the special edition that will be available on both the Z06 and Stingray models.
With the Corvette being the longest-running nameplate on any car on the road today, Chevrolet will celebrate the 70th anniversary in style with a special 70th Anniversary Edition Package.
“Passion for Corvette runs deep at Chevrolet and this anniversary is extra special because of the excitement and sales success we’ve achieved with the eighth generation of America’s iconic sportscar,” said Steve Majoros, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. “Even after 70 years, Corvette still makes hearts race and kids dream of the open road.” Chevrolet is bringing two exclusive colors to the 70th Anniversary Special Edition – an all-new White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat and Carbon Flash Metallic – along with optional stripes, exclusive wheel designs with Edge Red Stripes, Edge Red calipers, and 70th Anniversary badging on the doors as well as on the crossflag emblems. This marks the first time in modern Corvette history that Chevrolet has offered 14 exterior colors. Combined with the eight interiors for 2023, this will allow for thousands of combinations. Inside the 70th Anniversary Corvettes are two-tone Ceramic Leather GT2 or Competition Seats, red stitching, red seatbelts, and sueded microfiber seat inserts and steering wheel. You also find 70th Anniversary Edition logos on the seats, steering wheel and sill plates. The 70th Anniversary Editions will require the 3LT or 3LZ trim packages. Buyers of the 70th Anniversary Stingray or Z06 will also get a custom luggage set with red stitching and 70th Anniversary Edition Logos. Even the regular 2023 Corvettes are getting in on the Anniversary celebration. All Corvettes for 2023 will feature a commemorative 70th Anniversary interior plaque located on the center speaker grille and a 70th Anniversary Edition graphic imprinted on the lower rear window. The 70th Anniversary Edition is available for the Stingray Coupe and Convertible, as well as the Z06 Coupe and Convertible models. Chevrolet has reactivated the 2023 Corvette Visualizer and the 70th Anniversary Special Edition Package is there for you view and configure. No pricing has been revealed for 2023 Corvette models or the 70th Anniversary Package.
