2-DAY INTRO TO OPEN LAPPING LEVEL 1

As the next level to the Corvette Owners School, our Intro to Open-Lapping program focuses less on

Corvette electronics and more on universal car control and cornering techniques, with even more

track time and an introduction to open-lapping. With open-lapping, you’ll learn how to safely and

properly pass other drivers without being guided by your instructor, ultimately preparing you for

your first track day! Designed for non-owners, Corvette Owners School graduates, or the Corvette

owner with full knowledge of Corvette C8 electronics, this course will provide you with skills and

techniques that can be used in any vehicle. As the second step of the Ron Fellows Performance

Driving School’s 4-step progressive driving series, here is what you will experience during your

2-Day Intro to Open-Lapping program:

CURRICULUM:

- Track session in lead/follow format

where students lead instructors

- Autocross competition

- Review PDR video and learn about

Cosworth Toolbox

- Demo laps with instructors

- Handling oval and wet figure 8 paddock

exercises

- ABS Braking and serpentine paddock

- Learn and review paddle shifting

- Review the 8 steps to proper cornering

After completing your two days of Level 1: Intro to Open-Lapping training, you will be prepared to

learn advanced track day driving techniques. In the third step of our 4-step progressive driving

series, your skills will be tested and perfected to shape you into a highly proficient Ron Fellows

Performance Driving School alumni. We can’t wait to see you in Level 1: Intro to Open-Lapping!
